With 7 years of experience in education, I am dedicated to helping students succeed by identifying and addressing learning gaps through personalized instruction. My approach is data-driven: I analyze student progress to determine the areas that need focus and create tailored plans that cater to each student's unique needs. My goal is to make lessons student-centered, ensuring that every student remains engaged and motivated to learn. I hold a BA in Liberal Studies with a concentration in Language and Literacy, as well as a multi-subject teaching credential, which has provided me with the knowledge and skills to teach a wide range of subjects effectively. As a tutor, my approach centers around building meaningful connections with each student to make lessons both interesting and relevant to their lives. This is followed by direct instruction, where I provide clear explanations and examples to guide learning. Afterward, students have the opportunity for independent practice, allowing them to apply what they’ve learned, followed by feedback to reinforce their understanding and encourage growth. What sets me apart as a tutor is my ability to connect with students from diverse backgrounds and my dedication to making lessons enjoyable and accessible. I focus on nurturing each student’s confidence and curiosity, fostering a mindset that they can succeed in any subject, whether it's reading, writing, or math (up to Algebra 1). My lessons are ideal for elementary and middle school students who are looking to improve their skills and build a strong academic foundation.
