About Ds

I’m a patient, creative, energetic, and experienced tutor who genuinely enjoys helping students learn, grow, and gain confidence. I graduated from UCLA in 2007 and bring both a strong educational background and real-world creative experience to my teaching.

My background includes Mathematics, Algebra, English, Screenwriting, Filmmaking, Video Production, Editing, and Photography. I enjoy working with students of different ages, skill levels, and learning styles, and I always adapt my approach to the individual rather than using the same method for everyone.

As a tutor, I strive to create a relaxed, encouraging, and professional environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and developing their skills. I am dependable, organized, and committed to helping each student reach their personal or academic goals.

I teach Math, Algebra I & II, elementary-level subjects, English, Screenwriting, Filmmaking, Editing, and Photography. My approach is clear, patient, and practical. I break down difficult concepts into simple, easy-to-understand steps and use real-world examples, exercises, and creative activities to make learning more engaging.

Each lesson begins by identifying the student’s goals and areas where they need support. From there, I create a personalized lesson plan and work at a pace that builds both understanding and confidence.

What sets me apart is my combination of academic tutoring and creative experience. Whether a student needs help solving an algebra problem, improving their English, developing a screenplay, understanding filmmaking, or strengthening their photography and editing skills, I focus on making the learning experience positive, productive, and enjoyable.
