About Joseph
I've been tutoring for 2 years now and ideally will continue to for a long time. I'm passionate about maths and love helping others come to feel more comfortable with it. I like to try and connect the abstract ideas of maths with the more concrete cases that are used in the real world. My main goal is to help maths not only make sense but hopefully also feel intuitive.

I normally share my screen and help students go through exam papers. If at any point the student seems to be struggling with a question I will then work to find the root of any confusion and spend as much time as necessary to fill in gaps in their knowledge. Alternatively, if there is anything the student wishes to focus on that will be made a priority. This ensures a good balance between exam skills and understanding of the topic itself.
The standard length of a lesson is one hour, however, this is something I'm happy to change to better suit the individual.
I have 4 A levels including Maths and Further Maths as well as some university experience, and in addition, I also have two years of tutoring history for both GCSE and A level Maths.
Currently, I am Looking to tutor GCSE students as I believe for many it could be the most stressful area of education and I'd be happy to alleviate that if at all possible.
