About Blaize

I started my musical journey at 4 years old with private guitar lessons from a great music teacher in my area. Shortly after, I started taking piano lessons and was hooked. In my early years, I learned how to play blues and rock from the music of Stevie Ray Vaughan, Ray Charles, the Beatles, and many more. My weekly guitar lessons became my favorite activity that I made my parents let me have two every week. In middle school, I decided to learn more about classical and jazz music. Eventually, I went to Berklee College of Music and studied jazz. There I studied country and jazz piano with the great John Mulroy

Taking private lessons has been the most helpful tool in my musical journey and I want to share the same feeling with my students. That is why I love teaching.

About the lesson

After every lesson with me, you will feel motivated, you will see improvements, and you will see a clear path to being the player you want to be! In our lessons, we will work together to find the best learning path for you based on your skill level, age, interests and goals.

While we will definitely focus on the importance of fundamentals, we will also be making sure that you see noticeable improvements in your playing.

A typical lesson will include:
3 - 5 minutes of technical exercises
3 - 5 minutes of theoretical concepts
20-40 minutes of learning the songs you love and want to learn

I have a bunch of books and curriculums for you to learn from butI will not require a purchase of a book.

Perfect! Blaize is an excellent instructor. He is genuinely interested in our progress and has been able to adjust seamlessly as he learns our current knowledge and capabilities. Since he is a multi-instrumentalist, he is not only able to teach us piano, but help us expand music theory beyond the keyboard.
