About Vanessa
I have a solid amount of experience in education including leading math workshops at university for 3 years, volunteering in an elementary school classroom, teaching students how to code through a programming summer camp, and intermittent one-on-one tutoring for more than the past decade! I recently got back from 6 months of travel in South America, so I am conversational in Spanish and can help with your language needs as well! My lessons are highly individualized to each student. I make it my priority to know what specifically I can help with, and do everything I can to address this need. I have a lot of experience leading math workshops for my university, which entailed planning each biweekly 1.5 hour workshop. I am very well versed in creating material specific to student needs, as I created all of the content for these workshops throughout 8 academic terms. I focus on tutoring in the following subjects: mathematics computer science, Spanish, and writing.
