I did not study math in high school like most of my peers and thus had to teach myself a strong fundamental foundation in math before attending a STEM university. I also have plenty of work experience, so I am comfortable working in a professional setting.

About the lesson

Teaching method and techniques: - I focus on deep understanding before memorization, helping students grasp the why behind each formula or rule. - I work best when the student comes with classwork or general info of what topics they would like to cover. Typical lesson plan: - Review prior material and address homework questions. - Teach new concepts with real-life or age-appropriate examples. - Work through problems together, then encourage independent attempts. What Sets Me Apart: - My STEM background helps me break down abstract math into logical, manageable steps. - I am pretty patient and enjoy reviewing a topic until it is well understood. - I had to start math from scratch when I started applying to colleges, so I have a bit of experience with learning the fundamentals before diving into more complicated topics. Who My Lessons Are For: - Arithmetic, fractions, pre-algebra, and problem-solving skills for grade school students. - Algebra I/II, Geometry, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus for middle & high schoolers - I specialize in helping students overcome math frustration through calm, steady instruction for students with math anxiety.
