About David

My name is David Rose, I am an illustrator (College for Creative Studies, 2023) and creative writer. I am developing a visual development portfolio with an emphasis on background art. I work on character, prop, and production design, as well.

I am interested in just about everything. I love learning about new subjects and exploring complicated ideas — or that’s what the YouTube algorithm seems to think, anyway. Life’s too short to decide on just one thing to love, so I use my art to live out all of my wild fantasies.

About the lesson

Making art is supposed to be fun, but somewhere in the process of art education, you can lose sight of just what made you want to be an artist in the first place. As a graduate of art school, I survived the self-doubt and negativity that often plagues young artists. As your teacher, it is my goal to meet you at your level and help you to make the art that you want to make.

We'll begin each lesson by studying new concepts and methods for you to explore in your artistic procress, as well review your work and offer creative feedback. My goal with every session is for the student to learn and grow as an artist and internalize what makes art special to them.
