About Maria

Hey!! My name is Maria, I am 26 years old and I have been tutoring english for about 2 years. I love to guide my students and help them achieve their goals.
My firsts degree is in applied languages and I have just finished my master degree in translation and communication. My work languages are English (C2), Spanish (C1) and Portuguese (Native).
I hope we can work together soon!

About the lesson

My name is Maria Pinto, I am 26 years old and I am finishing my Master's thesis in Translation and Multilingual Communication at the University of Minho, where I also completed my degree in Applied Languages. I have also completed a postgraduate degree in Translation and Interpreting.
I have experience in assisting in the coordination and management of training courses and also in tutoring and teaching English language courses.
My mother tongue is Portuguese and, with my degree, I have reached the B2+ level in Spanish, although I fully understand the language in terms of reading and listening comprehension and oral expression; the C2 level in English; and the A2 level in German. Portuguese, Spanish and English are the languages in which I feel most comfortable communicating and teaching. As for my English training, I have the Cambridge Advanced Certificate (level C1) and I did a two-week exchange programme with EF (Education First) in Brighton (UK) where I reached level C2.
My love of languages and tutoring was born with me and my Bachelor's and Master's degrees gave me skills in linguistics, editing, proofreading and terminology, which I consider a great asset for a job in a publishing house.
As far as training is concerned, I have a Certificate of Pedagogical Aptitude (CPP), and I have also completed a 150-hour course in Training Management and Coordination and a course in Copywriting for web content.
I am passionate about literature translation and tutoring languages and I think I can help you learning and understanding better the language you are willing to learn.
