About Annunziata

I am a graduate of UCLA with a Bachelor of Arts in French Language and Literature. I also studied Communications and Media at Fordham College at Lincoln Center. Since childhood, English literature and writing have been where my talents lie, and I have always been passionate about providing support to others in these areas.

I work extremely well with children and young adults because I am continually inspired by the perspectives of our youth, and how these perspectives can change the world. In high school, I led a volunteer program at my elementary school, developing English literacy skills in students aged 6-8 years old. This was one of the most memorable and positive experiences for me, and has since inspired me to pursue tutoring as part of my career.

I also have professional experience in luxury fashion marketing, which has helped to shape my understanding of a personalized approach to written communications.

About the lesson

I am an extremely patient tutor with a personalized approach. I begin by determining my students' goals, and developing a plan with them to achieve these goals. I am passionate about sharing my skills in English reading and writing with students who are struggling in these areas.

Examples of my working style include:
For English Literacy with elementary school students, I read with the student and coach them on phonetics, sentence structure and a basic analysis of the text, focusing on how each of their small achievements build into a mastery of literacy. I provide assistance with all school homework and display a positive outlook and curiosity for knowledge to encourage students to enjoy learning and their time in school.

For English writing with high school students, I offer coaching and editing for written pieces such as literature analysis essays, critical examinations of historic texts, creative writing and college applications. I am passionate about helping students find their voice, and use the written word to showcase their unique thoughts and feelings.
