About Kimberly
I am a graduate student and Master of Science candidate at Drexel University. I have a 4.0 GPA. I am studying Teaching, Learning, and Curriculum with a minor in Mind, Brain, and Learning. I am a graduate from Penn State University where I received my Bachelor's degree in Communications. Effective communication is crucial to teaching and educating children. I have 28 credits in college-level English at the undergraduate level. I am an adventurous person who loves to travel and learn through my experiences in other countries. One of the things my students love the most about being in a classroom with me is hearing my adventure stories. I often incorporate culture into my lessons and have an approach to learning through conversation. Children learn best through relating the learning process to their personal lives, so effective conversation is critical. I truly love what I do, and I am very passionate about teaching.

My approach to lessons is not focused on a one-size-fits-all approach to learning. Every student has different abilities and learning styles. I cater each lesson to the individual learner in order to maximize their understanding of the lesson, materials, and information. It is my goal to help each student reach their learning goals, and I take the approach that every student is capable of learning anything if the learning is designed in a way that the student learns. The lessons are for every grade level from kindergarten through high school. I have the unique ability to make even the most stubborn kids engage with me. Building trust and common ground are crucial to the learning experience with a teacher.
