About Emily
I love teaching! My mother is a teacher, and I have been playing a teacher since I was a little kid. As a current student of education, I am currently benefitting from the knowledges of veteran teachers and my future teacher peers. My approaches to English and English teaching are innovative and responsive, and most of all, effective. I can help you write and revise essays of any kind (creative, research, professional, academic) and I can help you comprehend any text. My number one aim in becoming an English teacher is helping students better understand themselves and the world through this content. You have something incredible to put into words or to glean from a text, and I cannot wait to help you discover it!

- I am an expert on building lessons that meet students where they are. My lessons are designed to meet you where you are as a student with valuable knowledge and build upon it to strengthen your English skills.
- As a tutor, I am incredibly patient and responsive. My sessions work like a feedback loop-- I am incredibly open to (and encourage) feedback, and much of what my students will learn will come from the feedback I give on their practice.
-I am currently a student teacher for both honors and regular high school English courses, but while in college, I served as an academic tutor. I have more solid experience with older students, but I am comfortable with all ages.
