About Thornton

I studied Physics at Grinnell College and am now pursuing Mechanical Engineering at Washington University in St. Louis through a dual-degree program. I have over 4 years of tutoring experience and founded Nxt Level Tutoring to help students build both academic skills and confidence. Having worked with a tutor myself growing up, I know firsthand how much the right guidance can change a student’s approach to learning!

About the lesson

My lessons are personalized to each student’s goals, whether that means preparing for the ACT, studying for an upcoming test, or developing better study habits. I focus on identifying areas for improvement, explaining difficult concepts in a clear and approachable way, and practicing strategies that build both skills and confidence. For ACT prep, we work through targeted practice problems, test-taking strategies, timing, and full practice tests to track progress.
