About Christine
I am a professional opera singer and I have performed extensively in UK, Europe and beyond. I have many years teaching experience ranging from professional singers to aspiring University students to beginner adults and children. No previous experience needed.
I have taught in schools, colleges and universities and I have always run a successful teaching practice at home.
I can help you develop a solid and healthy singing technique, extend your vocal range, help you understand your voice as well as work on your performing skills. You will expand your knowledge, develop your musicality and build on your confidence. I can guide you through ABRSM, Trinity and LAMDA exams, help you prepare for auditions, concerts and festivals.
Singing lessons can also be a creative and emotional outlet in our busy lives and does not need to involve specific achievements apart from turning up and enjoying time for yourself.
I originally come from Sweden and have studied singing, performance and musicology in both Sweden and UK. I am based in the West End of Glasgow close to trains and buses. However, currently I only offer online lessons via Zoom. Online lessons actually work really well and I’d be happy to discuss and put your mind at ease. The only thing you will need is a computer, tablet or a phone and the Zoom App. A separate device to play backing tracks or accompaniments on is helpful. It could be a speaker, but also your phone. As long as it is a separate device from the one you are using to have your Zoom lesson on.
This is a good alternative to lessons in person when lessons at my house isn’t possible just now.

I usually start lessons with a vocal warmup where I blend in specific exercises tailored to each individual student that work on what he or she is currently trying to achieve or develop. It could be exercises that help solve a particular technical issue or that help with the style or repertoire the student is learning. After this we will work on repertoire. This can be something I have suggested or that the student is keen to learn. At the end of the lesson we recap what we have done and outline what should be practised until next time.
