About Leah
Hello! My name is Des, and I am passionate about helping children grow and succeed academically. With 9 years of experience teaching young learners from ages 3 to Grade 2, I specialize in creating a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel confident to explore and learn. I teach reading and mathematics with a focus on building strong foundational skills, especially for those following the SABIS and EYFS curriculum. I believe that every child has unique strengths and potential, and my goal is to tailor lessons to meet their individual needs and help them enjoy learning. Teaching is more than just a job for me—it is a calling. I love seeing the joy on a child’s face when they understand a new concept or achieve a milestone. My purpose is to inspire curiosity, foster independence, and nurture a lifelong love of learning in each student.
