About Shayna

I am a long time practitioner of 14 years in the practice and study of Yoga. I seek to live as authentically as I can in the yogic teachings while also balancing the nature of our current western world.

My favorite Asana practice began as the fast paced Vinyasa and has slowly molded over time into the slow pace of Hatha. I feel privileged to have found this practice as it has added depth and contentment to my life. I have consistently studied the philosophy of Yoga and kept up my meditation practice over the last 3 years of teaching so I can feel confident in my offerings to my student.

If you chose to work with me expect playfulness as well as space for emotional depth. I love to use yoga as a space for play as well as growth!

About the lesson

Seeking to help guide you in deepening your relationship with self. With our time my goal is to help empower you in your yoga practice. We will narrow down your goals in order for me to plan the correct lesson plan to make sure we can realistically achieve your physical, mental or emotional goals within the scope of your yoga practice.

I work with all bodies with an emphasis on open and compassionate communication. Each persons yoga journey is unique and personal, I am a guide to assist you on this journey so you can step into feeling more empowered in your body and self.

Typical lessons are 60-90 minutes depending on your goals. I work with Beginners and Intermediate students. You can choose between any style of yoga I teach: Vinyasa, Hatha, Hybrid of both Vinyasa and Hatha, Restorative and Yin style Yoga.

If you are seeking a well rounded yoga study of the Yamas and Niyamas I plan 90-120 minute classes that contain the Physical Asana, Meditation, and Philosophy study for a practice that guides you deeper into your self study.

Shayna modifies all parts of her class to be accessible from a chair or seated position and also offers other modifications to meet us where we are at.
