I believe first steps of teaching is to build interest in subject specially scoring subjects like Maths. Main focus area would be concept building, fundamentals , segregation of topics as per their complexity and their distribution how that would be cover so that student can't feel bored and loosing interest and last but not least practices and evaluation on weekly basis to track performance and progress..!!
