About Julia

I'm a Computer Science Engineering graduate with a genuine love for mathematics and teaching. One thing I've noticed is that many students start believing they're "bad at math" simply because they struggled with a few concepts early on. Over time, that fear only grows.

I want to help students build confidence before that happens. I believe every student can learn math when it's explained in a way that makes sense to them. I keep my classes friendly and approachable, and I adapt my teaching style to each student's way of understanding so they feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace.

About the lesson

Math is one of those subjects where a strong foundation makes all the difference. When students understand the basics well, everything that comes later becomes much easier, and most importantly they will not develop a fear for the subject.

My goal is to make math feel less intimidating and more intuitive. I adapt my teaching style to each student's pace and way of learning. Some students understand best through visual explanations, some through examples, and others through discussion and practice. Rather than following a fixed approach, I focus on explaining concepts in a way that makes sense to the individual student.

A typical class begins with understanding the intuition behind a topic and why it works. Once the concept is clear, we move on to solving problems and applying it in different situations. I strongly believe that mathematics is a subject that is mastered through practice. Understanding a concept is only the first step; students need enough exposure to different types of questions before they truly become comfortable with it.

For this reason, I provide plenty of guided practice with a variety of problems, ranging from basic applications to more challenging questions. This helps students build confidence, recognize patterns, and develop a deeper understanding of the topic instead of relying on memorization. This also makes their aptitude, problem solving, logical thinking and pattern recognition strong.

Most importantly, I aim to create a comfortable learning environment where students can ask questions freely, make mistakes without hesitation, and gradually become more confident in their abilities. My goal is not just to help students score better in school, but to help them view mathematics as a subject they can understand and succeed in.
