About Ema
My name is Ema. I am a native English speaker from South Africa. Growing up in a place as culturally and linguistically diverse as South Africa, I’ve been exposed to so many different cultures and languages. Having friends and students from such varied backgrounds has inspired in me a deep appreciation for “difference”. Along with my interest in Art and Social Studies, this appreciation grows deeper still. Because of covid, I haven’t yet been able to travel and experience further cultural and language differences, so I hope to further experience and learn about different backgrounds through this experience.
