About Isabell

I'm a deeply determined high school senior pursuing advanced math at the college level as I actively work towards my AA degree. I've always been truly passionate about mathematics, educating, and sharing my excitement for learning. I have 3+ years of experience leading after-school tutoring sessions with groups of 10-20 elementary schoolers, as well as 50+ hours volunteering with various middle schools to support aspiring CFO and CEOs! As a fellow student, I understand how frustrating learning can feel. That same frustration has motivated me to provide patient, clear lessons that guarantee full comfortability with tough concepts. (And raising grades!)

About the lesson

I specialize in teaching various mathematical concepts to K-10 in a clear, manageable, and patient manner. My approach to teaching is putting priority on adapting to each student's learning style. No two students learn the same! I am determined to ensure that every learner leaves the session feeling confident with new concepts, stress-free, and feeling proud of themselves! Each lesson will provide instruction, interactive practice, in-depth explanations, and time for monitored independent practice to ensure full understanding. Every session begins and ends with 5-10 minutes to discuss the student's needs, confusions, goals, and- when necessary- homework. Students are guaranteed to build confidence quickly in a patient environment without the need for frustration!

Please note that your first session, which is free of cost, will focus on determining your student's needs, reviewing their typical coursework, and beginning to build rapport with one another. This session likely will not span the full 45 minutes.
