About Ibukun

I am a recent graduate with a bachelor's degree in History and International Studies. My knowledge about history has inspired me to make it accessible to as many as possible. These days, history remains a subject that isn't being treated with the same spotlight attention as other subjects like mathematics, chemistry, biology and other popular science subjects. History plays a major part in our growth and development as human beings. It's not only about telling stories, it tackles questions like when, how, and most importantly why things happen. Taking lessons in this subject would not only update you on current affairs, but would also develop critical thinking skills, which is needed to survive in any environment.

About the lesson

As a dedicated and enthusiastic tutor, my primary goal is to make learning an enjoyable and effective experience for every student. I believe in fostering a positive and supportive environment where children feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and ultimately, building confidence in their abilities. My teaching methodology is centered around active learning and personalized instruction. I don't just deliver information; I guide students to discover concepts for themselves through engaging activities and real-world examples. For primary school students, a typical lesson runs for 45 minutes to 1 hour. This duration helps maintain their focus and engagement without overwhelming them. For secondary school students, lessons usually last 1 hour to 1 hour 15 minutes, allowing for deeper exploration of topics and more complex problem-solving. Breaks are incorporated as needed to ensure optimal learning. hold a Bachelor's degree in History, which has equipped me with a deep understanding of historical contexts and the development of societies. My lessons are designed for children aged 5 to 16 years old, covering a wide range of academic levels from primary school (Years 1-6) through to junior secondary (JSS1-JSS3) and senior secondary school (SSS1-SSS3). I specialize in areas like General Studies, Civic Education, and Basic Historical Knowledge. Whether your child needs help with foundational concepts, catching up on challenging topics, or aiming for advanced understanding, I am equipped to support their learning journey.
