About Freda
I am an eighth grade student in Brooklyn. I've never offer tutoring service for money before, but I've been tutoring my friends ever since elementary school when they needed it. As a result, when my classmates are confused in a subject, they usually go to me for guidance. Teachers also direct students to me when they needed help. I'm particularly strong in areas of ELA and science, but I could help with anything that is below eighth grade level.

When I tutored my friends before, my teaching method differed from person to person to best suit their learning style. I prefer to tutor people one on one, to focus all my attention on my student. As I learn more about my student, I'll try and adjust my teaching methodology. However, generally, I'll have the student tell me what they already know about the subject, what they're confused on, why they're confused, and then we'll work on it from thereon. At the end, I'll give my student a few questions that they can work on to make sure they fully understand the topic.
