I want to share my opinion about Joanna:


Pros:

1. When it came to a mock IELTS Academic test, I scored only 6.0. However, Joanna helped me to obtain a 7.5 mark, following a short but intense two months training, something which I never hoped to achieve.

2. Joanna addressed specifically my needs. instead of wasting my monies on English grammar and recommendations to learn the remainder of the English language, which other tutors did, she helped me to overcome the most difficult (for me) listening and writing aspects of the test. For example, I was very bad at "multiple choice" questions in listening section, achieving just 5.5, she explained me how to handle those, I managed to get 7.0 in listening part of the test.

2. Joanna Is there when you need help. In the beginning she clearly explained to me that she would not work over weekends. However, my test was on Sunday, and she agreed to warm me up on Sunday.

3. In terms of writing, I believe that what she actually did was a miracle. Firstly, she provided me with a simple and easy to follow structure for the report and essay. I improved my grade in writing section from 5.0 to 7.0.

4. Joanna inspired in me confidence, which I did not have. Joanna proved to be right as I only counted on 6.5, while she was confident I would score at least 7, and I finally achieved 7.5!

I wholeheartedly recommend Joanna to anyone looking for an expert IELTS tutor.

Overall, the lessons with Joe were incredible both in terms of results and communication. When I started preparing for the Ielts exam, my result was about 6.5-7 in different sections and I felt a language barrier when talking with a native speaker. At the end of the course lasting 2.5 months, I managed to improve my overall result to 8! In addition, I didnt feel any barriers when communicating with native speakers. After study at a traditional english school I decided to find an alternative that would better suit my needs. I was looking for a native teacher, with a deep knowledge of English, it was then when I found JoAnne.

JoAnne is a great teacher for all levels! I started to have classes with her when my level was intermediate and immediately she identified where I was struggling and helped me to become more confident.

Although the 1-1 lessons are quite intense and you have to prepare yourself before the classes, Joo makes things much easier. She is super positive and encouraging teacher, focusing on your strengths and at the same time making sure you’re being challenged.
