About Sandesh
Hello, I’m Sandesh, a heritage researcher, educator, and curator with a Master’s degree in Ancient Indian Culture. I run a heritage-based forum called Sthaapatya Samvaad, where I conduct heritage walks, workshops, lectures, and podcasts focused on Indian history, mythology, philosophy, and folk traditions. Over the years, I have interacted with a wide range of learners—from students and researchers to artists and curious adults—through both academic and public platforms.
My approach to teaching comes from an interdisciplinary background that connects mythology with philosophy, history, art, and everyday life. I believe Indian mythology is not just about stories or beliefs, but about ways of thinking, questioning, and understanding society. I encourage students to ask questions, doubt fixed interpretations, and develop their own critical perspective.
I bring a professional, structured, and respectful learning environment to my classes. Sessions are interactive, well-prepared, and tailored to the learner’s interests and goals—whether that is exam preparation, academic clarity, or personal curiosity. I am patient, approachable, and committed to helping students build confidence in engaging with complex ideas.
If you are looking to learn Indian mythology and philosophy beyond surface-level narratives, I would be happy to guide you on that journey.

My classes approach 'Indian mythology and philosophy' as systems of thought rather than collections of stories. I focus on helping students think beyond narratives and understand how myths, philosophical ideas, and historical contexts shape Indian society, ethics, and everyday life.
My teaching is discussion-based and concept-driven. I combine close reading of myths and philosophical texts with historical context, visual references, and comparative thinking. I encourage questions, doubt, and dialogue, allowing students to form their own interpretations rather than memorising fixed meanings. Where helpful, I connect Indian ideas with contemporary concerns and modern thought.
Each session begins with a key concept or question, followed by discussion around selected texts, stories, or ideas. We then unpack meanings, symbols, and philosophical layers together. Classes end with reflection, open questions, or short reading/viewing suggestions to continue thinking beyond the session.
I bring an interdisciplinary perspective, drawing from Indian philosophy, folk traditions, art, and history. My background in heritage work and research allows me to present complex ideas in a clear and accessible way. I prioritise critical thinking, inclusivity, and curiosity over dogma or rigid interpretations.
These classes are for UPSC and State PSC aspirants, UG–PG and NET/SET students of humanities, and researchers seeking strong conceptual clarity in Indian culture and philosophy. They are also suitable for artists, educators, and heritage professionals, as well as curious adult learners who want to explore mythology beyond stories. The focus is on critical thinking and context, not rote learning. No prior background is required—only curiosity.

I highly recommend Sandesh as a Superprof tutor - his vast knowledge, passion for sharing it, and enthusiasm for discussions will inspire and educate students across various subjects.I have known Sandesh and his work for nearly 10 years, and during this time I have consistently seen his deep commitment, passion, and discipline toward learning and self-development. His engagement with heritage, philosophy, culture, and personal growth is not limited to one medium—he learns through books, films, discussions, and lived experience, constantly upgrading himself in a world that often feels stagnant.
What truly stands out is Sandesh’s unique way of looking at things. He has his own perspective, interprets ideas thoughtfully, and most importantly, applies them to real life with clarity and purpose. Over the years, he has carefully nurtured his skill sets and acquired several abilities that once felt distant or inaccessible to him.
