About Matt

I graduated from Brown University in 2004 with a Bachelor's in Mathematics and also in French Literature. So, I like to think I'm a well-rounded individual with a wide array of interests. Professionally, I've worked as a classroom teacher in both middle school and high school, as well as for private education companies and summer programs. I enjoy that work, but I find that tutoring is the way I can best help students learn. Outside of work, I enjoy music, reading, and playing games.

About the lesson

Learning with me is a conversation, not a lecture. I'll ask you questions that will deepen your understanding of what you've already learned, and I'll listen carefully to your questions and concerns. Because I've spent so many years doing this work, I know all the common pitfalls with each topic, and I have several ways to explain each one. Working with me, you'll not only be ready for your next test or quiz; you'll improve your overall confidence with the subject of math and be more prepared for higher-level courses.
