About Kos-Faith

I am currently a third year Medical Laboratory Sciences Student at James Cook University with knowledge and skills gained from the first and second years studying as a Biomedical Sciences student. I have studied physics, chemistry, biology, music, high English, maths b and maths c in high school. I am also currently tutoring in high schools and in the community voluntarily and this enables me to be able to tailor to each student/individuals need. I have also been a young children’s teacher in the past and continue to yield aid when needed. I am an enthusiast when it comes to learning, teaching and working alongside individuals so that they reach their best possible potential. Therefore I recommend myself to you, so try me and see what working with me will do for you.

About the lesson

With experiences from my voluntary tutoring work, I have come to understand that individuals have different ways of tackling the tasks that they have at hand and require my tutoring. In the past, I used my method of studying to help my siblings where I always go with what I understand and re-iterate that first. Then, I focus on the concept(s) that I don't get and then go over it in order to understand it. After understanding it, I look at what I understand less. After giving them grades of most to least understood, I then move onto attacking the tasks that were given to me by the lecturers or teachers and try applying the formulas or the concepts that were taught to me. Then I practice over and over once I get it. I then move onto the next things I don't understand, always coming back to the one that I understood to continue practicing. This has been a good method but for many of my students, I have come to realise that this plan is good but that is good as a lesson plan or structure that I can use so that it’s an organised way to achieve the bigger goal of improving marks or doing well. However, it’s just a plan and the approach or the language used is different depending on the type of student. Therefore, I still use the structure but this time I tailor the way I teach to each individual student that I have or the group of students that I have

My rate would depend on the students level, the distance traveled and cancellation can occur in cancellation of the time that they miss unless they let me know in advance.
