About Qaphile

I am currently completing my studies in journalism and media studies at Rhodes University. I've worked with a DSLR camera for over 3 years, creating stunning photo and video content for satisfied clients. I have also tutored photography for 6 months in Makhanda.

About the lesson

I'm what you would refer to as an overthinker, and I believe that is a key asset in digital storytelling. There's a recipe for everything, so I teach how to follow a recipe and take it a step further by nurturing creativity and out of the box thinking.

The lesson begins with a run-through of the different components of the camera and how to utilize each setting. Next is composition, how you position your subject in the frame. After the technical aspect, we go into generating ideas and storytelling in photography.
