About Patrick

Hello! My name is Patrick Joyce and I'm a 20 year old university student studying political science, Spanish and Italian. I would love to spend my free time teaching you English as the acquisition of new languages has been a long time passion of mine! For many years now, learning Spanish has been one of my most treasured passions, and I still dedicate multiple hours daily to its study. Through that journey, I have realized that learning another language is something that everyone should do at some point in their life, and I would love to help take part in that for other people. I hope you’ll give me a shot! If you have any questions please do not hesitate to reach out!

¡Hola! Me llamo Patrick Joyce, tengo 20 años y actualmente estoy estudiando: ciencias políticas, español e italiano. Me encantaría pasar el tiempo libre enseñándote inglés, ya que llevo años enamorado del aprendizaje de idiomas. Por muchos años, aprender español ha sido una de mis pasiones más apreciadas y sigo dedicándole mucho tiempo diariamente. Por el tiempo que pasé estudiando, me di cuenta de lo importante que es aprender otro idioma durante la vida, y que me encantaría tener un papel importante en el aprendizaje de los demás. ¡Espero que me des una oportunidad y por favor no dudes en ponerte en contacto conmigo si te surgen preguntas!

About the lesson

In my classes, we will focus on YOUR needs based on YOUR level. I will be using the four main pillars of language learning (reading, writing, speaking and listening) to guide my lessons and help you achieve your language learning goals! Every class I will make sure to incorporate an element of United States culture into your learning. Whether that is current events, food, landmarks, history, media, famous Americans, nature, or whatever else is relevant at the time, you will always leave my class not just having learned English, but about the USA as well. I also offer conversational classes that have a less structured nature and are perfect for people who just want to test (or show off ) their skills in a relaxed and judgment free environment. I hope you've liked what I had to say and look forward to hearing from you!

Mis lecciones se enfocan en lo que necesitás basado en tu nivel de inglés. Utilizo los 4 pilares principales del aprendizaje de idiomas: lectura, escritura, discurso y audición, para guíar mis lecciones y ayudarte a lograr tus objetivos de aprendizaje. En cada clase haré que la cultura estadounidense se incorpore en la materia. Ya sea eventos actuales, comida, monumentos, historia, los medios, estadounidenses famosos, la naturaleza o lo que sea relevante en aquel momento, siempre saldrás de mis lecciones no solo habiendo aprendido inglés, sino también de Estados Unidos. Además ofrezco clases conversacionales que tienen un método menos estructurado y son perfectas para las personas que quieren probar (o presumir ) sus habilidades de inglés en un ambiente relajado y no crítico. ¡Espero que te haya gustado lo que dije, te motives y que te pongas en contacto conmigo!
