About Crimilda

My name is Crimilda Amukelani Uqueio. I love teaching and learning about new things and experience different ways of children socializing and how they see different things and how we see each other's perspectives and I love teaching English very much

About the lesson

Teach what your students find interesting.

The great thing about teaching language is the best learning is done through talking.

And you can talk about anything.

Find the things that your students find interesting - the movies they're talking about in the halls, the music they're listening to, the viral video that's popping.

And then use that as your "subject." "Teach" them about that - really, just get them talking about it - and sneak in occasional guidance as they sound their way through a discussion.

My favorite things about this:

Students don't feel like they're learning - which makes your class a breath of fresh air.

They're automatically engaged in what you're doing, and will hopefully bring some passion to the class. All you have to do is help direct that passion.

Students are likely to get excited beyond their language skills... and that gives you a chance to bring everyone together and figure out how to say something (or say it in another, simpler way). Coming up with an answer will stick better than memorizing something given. Confidence will rise. And creativity in use will start to stretch its legs at a relatively early juncture.
