About the lesson

Particularly focusing on skills needed for applying to jobs and schools in the US, I follow a structured and personalized approach to ensure effective learning. Here's an overview of my teaching approach:

Teaching Method and Techniques:

Customized Curriculum: I tailor my lessons based on the specific needs and goals of each student. This may include assessing their current English proficiency, understanding their target schools or job requirements, and identifying areas for improvement.

Interactive Learning: I incorporate interactive activities, discussions, and real-world examples to engage students actively. This not only enhances their language skills but also provides practical insights into the application process in the US.

Emphasis on Practical Skills: Recognizing the practical nature of the skills required for job applications and academic pursuits, I focus on honing essay writing abilities, SAT preparation, and overall literacy skills. Practical exercises and mock scenarios are integrated into the lessons.

Feedback and Revision: Constructive feedback is crucial for improvement. I provide detailed feedback on written assignments, conduct mock interviews for job applications, and work with students on refining their essays for college applications.

Typical Lesson Plan:

Introduction: Brief discussion on the previous lesson and setting goals for the current session.

Core Instruction: Language Skills: Focusing on grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation. Targeted Skill Development: Depending on the student's needs (e.g., essay writing, SAT preparation).

Application Exercises: Practical application of the learned skills, such as drafting a resume, writing a cover letter, or practicing SAT-style questions.

Feedback and Discussion: Reviewing the exercises, discussing challenges, and providing constructive feedback.

Homework Assignment (if applicable): Assigning tasks for further practice.

What Sets Me Apart:

Legal Expertise: As a law professional, I bring a unique perspective to language teaching, offering insights into English and the specific language requirements in professional settings.

Personalized Approach: Tailoring lessons to individual needs ensures that students receive targeted assistance for their specific goals.

Real-world Application: Integrating practical exercises and discussions about real-world scenarios gives students a holistic understanding of the language skills needed in their desired context.
