About Makya

Hi Parents! I’m Makya — a mom, homeschool educator, and youth mentor who believes learning should be as exciting as it is meaningful. For over 10 years, I’ve been helping children ages 6–12 gain confidence, discover their strengths, and develop skills they’ll carry for life. I specialize in turning tricky subjects into hands-on, real-world lessons your child will actually enjoy — from reading and math to public speaking, STEM, and even entrepreneurship. I know every child learns differently. That’s why each session is customized to your child’s personality, pace, and passions. Whether we’re building math skills through a cooking project, boosting reading comprehension with their favorite books, or starting a mini-business to teach money management, I make sure every lesson is engaging, practical, and encouraging.
