About Cass
Although I have never given a lesson, I have started recently as an actual (self employed) professional cake baker and have sold two cakes already, one to a pastor. I cooked Lebanese food with my mother when I was a kid and teenager. I can learn more recipes and techniques from my aunts, who are at expert level (though not professionals).
My mother enjoyed baking even more than cooking and I learned a lot of great baking techniques from her, although the decorating was largely self taught. I still try to keep up to date with my skills, and learn new ones, from reading books and watching YouTube videos.

I baked with my (late) mother for over 20 years, and while I'm still learning (isn't there always more to learn), I've got a pretty good handle on how to make the best desserts and turn them into works of art. I am of Lebanese American heritage and learned how to make some good stuff over the years.
I have about 15 different cake pans (including cupcake tins) and high quality expensive food coloring, along with several metal icing tips and an entire kit of cake decorating knickknacks to use to teach. I also have my secret weapon: my mother's recipe box.
I could come to your house, or, if my father is okay with guests, you could come to mine and we could put in a nice CD or video and bake or cook.
