I usually start my topic with a general discussion in which students create their initial hypothesis based on their previous knowledge. After these hypothesis we try to discover whether it's right or wrong. I also perform experiments to validate these hypothesis. At the end of the chapter the student would able to understand the concept and he/she will not just understand the topic but also get opportunity to take it to the next level.
