About Pearl

Hello! I’m Pearl, a Licensed Professional Teacher from the Philippines with experience in grade school teaching and online ESL instruction. I have a degree in MAPEH and am currently pursuing my Master’s degree in Physical Education.

I have experience teaching young learners and creating lessons that are engaging, interactive, and age-appropriate. I use games, stories, songs, visuals, reading activities, and conversations to help students learn in a fun and comfortable environment.

As a teacher, I am patient, encouraging, and committed to helping every learner improve at their own pace. I understand that each student has different learning needs, so I adjust my teaching strategies to make lessons easier to understand and more enjoyable.

Whether your goal is to improve English vocabulary, reading, pronunciation, grammar, or speaking confidence, I am here to support you. My goal is to create a positive learning experience where students feel comfortable, confident, and motivated to learn.

About the lesson

As a Licensed Professional Teacher with experience in grade school teaching and ESL instruction, I believe that learning should be enjoyable, meaningful, and appropriate for each learner’s needs. My teaching approach is student-centered, interactive, and supportive. I make sure that students feel comfortable expressing themselves, asking questions, and making mistakes because I believe that mistakes are a natural part of learning.

In my English lessons, I use a combination of different teaching methods and techniques depending on the learner’s age, level, and learning goals. I use games, stories, songs, pictures, role-playing, guided conversations, reading activities, vocabulary exercises, and simple questions to make lessons more engaging. For young learners, I incorporate fun and age-appropriate activities to maintain their attention while helping them develop their English skills. I also provide positive feedback and encouragement to help students build confidence in speaking English.

A typical lesson begins with a short warm-up or review of the previous lesson. I then introduce the new topic using simple explanations, examples, pictures, or real-life situations. After introducing the lesson, I guide the student through practice activities where we work together. I gradually allow the learner to practice independently through speaking, reading, answering questions, or completing short activities. At the end of the lesson, I review the key points and check the student’s understanding. I may also provide a simple practice activity that the learner can use after the class.

What sets me apart as a tutor is my experience working with young learners and my ability to make lessons both educational and enjoyable. As a classroom teacher, I understand that every child learns differently. Some students learn better through visuals, while others learn better through movement, repetition, stories, or conversation. Because of this, I adjust my teaching strategies instead of using the same approach for every student. I also value patience, encouragement, and a positive learning environment.

My lessons are mainly designed for children and beginner to intermediate English learners, especially young students who want to improve their vocabulary, pronunciation, reading, basic grammar, and conversational skills. My lessons can also be adapted for learners who simply want to become more confident in using English in everyday situations.

My goal is not only to teach English but also to help students become confident and motivated learners. I want every lesson to be a positive experience where students can learn something new, participate actively, and gradually see their own progress.
