About Ester
I am a writer and literary practitioner whose personal work focuses on interdisciplinary writing. I am proficient in writing in several styles and have had my journalistic and poetic work published in several independent magazines. I have also designed and published print magazines of my own. I graduated from one of the top art schools in the world, Central Saint Martins, with a 1:1 degree in arts criticism, and received an A+ on my final dissertation piece. I am now going into a Master’s degree for Comparative Literature at UCL.
While I may not have any formal study as a teacher, I have devoted a large portion of my open-ended bachelor’s degree to learning about pedagogy that services the community. Indeed, my dissertation is a piece on alternative methods of teaching and self-study. I have experience as an art tutor for small children. Since high school, my peers frequently turn to me to review and edit their essays for literature and language classes as well as university and grant submission essays. I would sometimes tutor them over zoom to make revisions together. I am a very patient, playful, and flexible person who is invested in creating something that doesn’t just improve the client’s skillset, but also makes reading and writing into an activity that feels engaging and relevant to the client’s interests.
*This includes children! It is important to me to make your child excited to learn when they are learning with me.*

I'm looking to teach children, students, and adults in various types of writing and reading skills through a curriculum we co-design. Want to renew your love for reading, but just can’t seem to be into it? Working on a dissertation or smaller essay, but it feels like you don’t know what you’re doing/you don’t know how to get it to the writing style you want? Happen to have a child that struggles with writing, or has a passion for writing but no outlet to do so? I might be your gal!
Typical curriculum might include talking about your reading/writing goals, reviewing and editing of your piece(s), and reading and analysing example writing. Contact me and let's start building a curriculum you will love.
