About Alissa

I have a degree in early childhood education and teaching. I have tutored and substituted for four years. Before I got my degree, I taught at a daycare. Math is my strongest subject. But, I can tutor all the basic subjects.

About the lesson

I like to evaluate where the student is within their grade level. Then, I like to see how the student learns best. If they are easily distracted when doing paper work I like to make a game out the lesson to make learning fun. If the student isn’t understanding with one way of teaching I will try a different way until they understand.

Alissa is patient with students, her teaching skills come naturally. She often assisted students in her class when in high school, and the teachers noticed her communication skills in helping with math problems. For all age students, Alissa has a gift for teaching. I highly recommend her for academic tutoring.
