About Roggernsy
My name is Roggy Jacotin and I am a first-generation Haitian American who has built my academic career on discipline, faith, and a genuine passion for helping others succeed. I graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor's in Applied Physiology and Kinesiology and went on to earn my Master's degree in Sport Management, maintaining an A in every science course throughout my academic journey including General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, and Biochemistry. I am currently enrolled in my second graduate program, training to become a Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant, which means the science I teach is not just academic for me. It is the foundation of my career.
Outside of my studies I am the founder of the Jacotin Foundation Inc., a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering underserved youth through wellness, education, and community resources. Leading an organization of that scale has sharpened my communication, leadership, and ability to break down complex ideas for diverse audiences, skills I bring directly into every tutoring session.
I was a valedictorian, a QuestBridge Finalist, and was accepted into ten universities upon graduating high school. I have been recognized by the City of Orlando as a Young Entrepreneur and was honored by the University of Florida for my contributions during my time there. I share these accomplishments not to impress you, but to show you that I understand what it takes to perform at a high academic level, and I want to help you get there too.
You're working with someone who's been in the trenches, carried a full course load, managed real responsibilities, and still found a way to excel. I know what it feels like to sit in a tough science class and feel lost. I also know exactly how to find your way through it.
You are in good hands.

Science doesn't have to feel like a foreign language. My goal is to make dense topics actually interesting by connecting every concept to something you already care about. Whether you're into sports, music, gaming, cooking, or fitness, I find a way to bring the science to life through your world.
Every session is built around you. I don't believe in one-size-fits-all tutoring. Before we dive in, I take a few minutes to understand what you're struggling with, what your goals are, and what you're passionate about outside of school.
What Sets Me Apart:
I graduated with my bachelor's from the University of Florida and completed my first master's degree while maintaining an A in every chemistry course I took including General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, and Biochemistry. I am currently pursuing my second master's degree, so I know exactly what academic pressure feels like and how to push through it. I bring that lived experience into every session. My memory strategies are not generic. I create acronyms and associations tailored to each student based on what clicks for them personally. Two students learning the same reaction mechanism might leave with two completely different memory tools because they were built around that student's interests and learning style.
My sessions are ideal for high school students tackling AP Chemistry or AP Biology and college undergrads in pre-med, biology, biochemistry, or any health-related major. If you have an exam coming up, a concept that just won't click, or you want to get ahead before the semester gets heavy, I am ready to work with you.
Science is not boring. You just haven't had it explained the right way yet.
