I am an international student from China, and Chinese is my native language. At university, I studied Chinese literature, movies, and advanced language courses as my elective subjects, and I also lead the Mandarin Language Club at Unimelb.

Regarding my teaching experience, I started teaching Mandarin in 2020 to both non-academic and academic students. I have helped beginners with no prior knowledge of the language progress to the level of passing HSK 4, and I have also tutored students in preparation for the VCE Chinese Second Language Exam. Additionally, I completed my internship at Melbourne Grammar School, where I taught Mandarin to students.

About the lesson

I believe interests make excellence. Therefore, I'll provide students with engaging and personalised learning materials. If you are interested in any Chinese food, attractions, history, I will also be happy to answer for you！

In your first lesson, I'll evaluate your Mandarin level through a short communication, know your reasons of learning Mandarin, your goals and your desired frequency of lesson and show you an introduction of learning Mandarin.

Then every lesson will include ① Based on your interests, I'll prepare study material designed for you prior to class. We'll learn Mandarian through these materials. ② Discuss and answer your questions. ③Provide a short homework for you if you'd like one. The whole process is negotiable :)
