About Iris
I hold a Master’s degree in Chemistry and have been teaching for over four years, working with high school, college, and competitive exam students. I’ve helped learners across different curriculums, including CBSE, IB, IGCSE, and university-level chemistry, develop a strong command of theoretical and applied topics. As a teacher, my goal is to simplify chemistry so that it becomes intuitive and relatable. I use daily-life examples, interactive questions, and visual techniques to keep students engaged and curious. I believe that with the right support and approach, any student can master chemistry and develop genuine interest in the subject. My chemistry lessons are designed to build deep conceptual understanding rather than surface-level memorisation. I start by identifying the student's current knowledge level and tailor the sessions to strengthen foundational ideas. Every lesson includes clear explanations, diagrams, problem-solving tasks, and real-world connections to help solidify learning and improve retention. I focus strongly on Atomic Structure and Thermodynamics, as these topics form the base for much of physical and theoretical chemistry. Students learn how atoms behave, how energy is transferred, and how these principles apply in reactions and materials. I use visual models and simplified equations to ensure complex ideas are accessible and engaging. In addition to lessons, I assist students with homework, lab assignments, and test preparation. I break down challenging questions into manageable steps and provide sample answers and feedback. I also guide students in developing study plans and strategies for improving academic performance in both school exams and competitive tests.
