About Rae Ann
I have a master's degree in English and a TESOL certificate. I have tutored students from 7-70 in classrooms and online.
I am focused on English as a Second Language learning so over the years my methods have been adapted to reflect this online environment.
Language acquisition is more than memorization. It involves relationships with each other and the larger world. In my classroom, I concentrate on two aspects: learning and positive relationships.
I believe that a classroom should be engaging and full of life, a place where students can challenge their current knowledge and strive to operate at higher, creative levels. The focus of a classroom should be to have students analyze, evaluate, and create their own products and solutions, not simply memorize facts and statistics.
