About Matthew

I enjoy tutoring as it means meeting a diverse group of different people who all learn in their own individual way. I enjoy the task of finding how a person learns, what pace they need and what revision method is the best. I have always been fascinated by science and maths, and loved the natural world. I am interested in plants and animals, ecology, space science, genetics, basically any of the really interesting parts of sciences. I am also an avid musician, practicing guitar daily and producing my own music. Aside from that you'll find me out on a run or learning a new sport/outdoor activity. Recently have been hiking every weekend.

About the lesson

I'm an experienced tutor for maths and the sciences at junior/leaving certificate level, as well as college and third level. I have previously taught using first tutors (which has since closed down) and I'm happy to do either in-person or online tutoring at whatever time of day suits. I love to see people making progress and try to tailor the tutoring to suit the needs of each individual. I am from a family of teachers and have learned patience, communication and planning/direction skills which I apply to to tutoring. Very friendly and easy-going person who likes meeting new people.
