About Emilee
With over 5 years of classroom experience, I understand the struggles of learning science behind a desk and from a book. It’s my personal goal to make science fun and inviting, using real life examples and experiences instead of memorizing textbook passages.
I have always had a passion for biology-learning how life all around us functions is fascinating! Did you know that a majority of Earth’s oxygen is actually produced in the ocean? Or that the DNA in your mitochondria come only from your mom?
I’ve helped so many students, in and out of the classroom, succeed in their science education and their academic goals. As a licensed high school science educator, I have the degrees, experience, and knowledge to assist and support you through any hurdle. Specific example- past students have appreciated my outlook on challenging problems- we can always find another example or a second situation to explain a phenomenon- there isn’t always one perfect answer.

With experience in the fields of education, cellular and molecular biology, as well as behavioral neuroscience and psychology, you can be assured that your specific questions and needs will be met.
My lessons follow a student-focused approach- we won’t waste time on information you already know. Lesson plans and tutoring plans vary by subject but typically expand from key learning points and exploratory questions of the Life Sciences.
Lessons and tutoring sessions suited for secondary students currently taking a life science class (anything related to biology- not including chemistry or physics). This could include intro biology, anatomy, physiology, genetics, sports sciences, forensics, intro psychology, abnormal psychology, etc.
As your tutor, it is my first priority to answer questions and clear any confusion you may be having in your current subject matter. I’m here to help you achieve your science educational goals and succeed in all science classes moving forward with the use of subject specific tips and tricks. Biology and Science classes don’t have to be scary!
