Pia’s passion for education started at home. After seeing her husband navigate the ongoing challenges of Dyslexia, she became determined to ensure her own children received the support they needed. Program Overview

Every child communicates, processes, and learns differently. Whether your student needs targeted intervention to catch up, specialized support for learning differences, or enriched guidance to spark a lifelong love for reading and writing, this course provides a completely customized Language Arts experience.

Drawing from over two decades of combined experience as a credentialed Special Education teacher and a veteran homeschool educator, Pia combines structured, evidence-based academic strategies with the flexibility, warmth, and individualized attention of a personalized learning environment.

What We Focus On

***Foundational Reading & Decoding:** Phonics, fluency, vocabulary building, and phonemic awareness tailored to your child’s specific reading level and learning style.
***Reading Comprehension & Critical Thinking:** Active reading strategies, deep textual analysis, character study, and real-world application—meeting students right where they are.
***Structured Writing & Composition:** Sentence construction, paragraph development, essay structure, creative writing, and editing skills taught step-by-step to build confidence and eliminate frustration.
***Language Arts Mechanics:** Practical grammar, usage, mechanics, and spelling taught through context rather than repetitive busywork.
***Executive Functioning in Literacy:** Organization, planning long-term writing assignments, note-taking, and studying strategies designed for neurodiverse and traditional learners alike.

1. Comprehensive Assessment: We begin with an informal assessment to understand your student’s strengths, challenges, interests, and unique learning style.
2. Individualized Learning Plan (ILP): I design a customized roadmap tailored to your family's goals—whether aligning with school standards, supporting a homeschool curriculum, or providing specialized academic intervention.
3. Engaging, Multisensory Lessons: Lessons incorporate multisensory approaches, structured scaffolding, and interest-driven literature to keep students engaged and motivated.
4. Transparent Parent Collaboration: Regular updates and open communication ensure you always know what we are working on, the progress being made, and how to support learning at home.
