About Kenzie
I'm a college student studying mathematics with an emphasis in mathematics, what this basically means is that I'm studying pure math. I have had a love for math for a very long time, but what I really enjoy is helping other people understand math. I have worked with so many different students at so many different levels. The youngest I've worked with was 8 years old and the oldest was 20 years old, so I have lots of experience in any math class. I'm someone who likes to have fun while I work so I love to joke and laugh and develop a relationship but still get the work done. I do have expectations of the student putting in effort and focusing but I do understand that some days are more difficult than others, especially for kids.

I've been a private tutor for a consecutive 6 months, but off and on over the past 6 years. I have helped students go from D's to A's and B's. I work at the students pace and focus on what they need help with. I strongly encourage any questions and am always willing to explain till the student feels comfortable with the subject and/or problem. Something that I do that I've found really helps students is to have them explain to me what they understood from what I explained so that I can see where they are confused or where they are lacking a piece of information. My focus is always on the students needs, but I do love to laugh while learning!
