About Teagan

I’m a Mathematics major and Statistics minor at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, and I genuinely enjoy helping others understand math. I know that math can sometimes be frustrating, especially when the way it is taught in class just doesn’t click. My goal is to explain concepts in a way that makes sense to each individual student so that the skills they learn can be a baseboard for success.

I’m patient, approachable, and always happy to explain something more than once or try a different approach. I want everyone to feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes, because that is an important part of learning. Whether you need help with homework, want to prepare for a test, or just want to feel more confident in math, I’ll do my best to make our sessions helpful, relaxed, and personalized to your needs!

About the lesson

My approach to tutoring is patient, personalized, and focused on helping students truly understand the material rather than simply memorize steps. I believe that everyone can succeed in math with the right explanation and support. I adapt my teaching style to each student’s individual learning needs and encourage them to ask questions in a comfortable, judgment-free environment.

As a Mathematics major and Statistics minor at Cal Poly, I have experience working with a wide range of mathematical concepts and understand that students often need to see material explained in more than one way. What sets me apart is my ability to be patient and adapt explanations until the material makes sense to the student.

My lessons are designed for middle school, high school, and introductory college students. I can provide support in general mathematics, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, precalculus, calculus, and introductory statistics. Whether a student needs help preparing for an exam, completing homework, catching up on difficult material, or building confidence in math, I aim to make each lesson supportive, productive, and tailored to their goals!
