About Matus
Due to the fact that Maths was always my favourite subject and I was always very good at it, tutoring Maths used to be part of my routine at school, whether it was in Slovakia or in Culford School in Suffolk, England. I had tutored a couple of students while studying at University in Slovakia and after I had moved to England I tutored one student and managed to raise her grade even though I could tutor her only an hour per week

I studied Maths at the highest ranked university for mathematics in Slovakia. My usual approach is to first examine my tutee's abilities by giving him/her a couple of practice exercises in order to identify the areas that have to be addressed and then I address them in a logical manner. It is crucial for Maths to be taught in a certain way; otherwise it is just memorisation. I make sure my tutees understand "why?" and not just memorise "how?".
