About Lina
Hi, I’m Alina – it’s great to meet you. I’m a fourth-year medical student with a strong background in biology and a genuine interest in helping students feel more confident in the subject. I know how challenging biology can be — there’s a lot of detail to take in — which is why my tutoring style is patient, thorough, and focused on building understanding over time. I take a structured approach, often revisiting key concepts in different ways to help the information really stick. Whether you’re catching up or aiming for top marks, I’ll adapt our sessions to your pace and learning style, making sure you feel supported every step of the way. My goal is to help you not just pass your next test, but actually feel in control of the subject.

I like to go over things in layers — the first time is to get familiar with the material and understand the general idea, and then I go back to break it down and really digest it. That second pass is usually where things start to stick. It also helps highlight the parts that are confusing so we can spend more time there. I’ve found this works way better than trying to fully “get it” all at once.
A typical lesson can be anywhere from 1 to 2 hours, depending on what works best for the student and what my schedule allows.
I’ve tutored classmates informally since middle school — mostly helping friends out with homework or test prep. In university, I did the same with peers when they needed a hand. So while I don’t have formal teaching credentials yet, I have real experience explaining things in a way that clicks for people.
Anyone who needs help, really. I don’t have a strict age or level in mind — if you’re willing to learn, I’m happy to teach.
