About Tara
I have a warm approach, and when a student is unsure or quiet, I find a way to have the child feel safe to ask questions. The pressures of math are very real, and because of my background, students also feel confident that working with someone who's worked at MIT and is a current math teacher reassures they are in good hands...because they are.

I currently teach 8th grade math in Revere using Imagine Learning curriculum. Before this I worked at MIT writing curriculum for high school STEM teachers and helped charter schools design project-based learning. I taught middle and high school in Framingham, Vermont, Rhode Island and earned my master's degree in education in Oregon under STEM education.
Because of my experience in private and public schools, both in middle and high school, I know what is expected and how to explain in many ways more than a traditional tutor.
My students say I'm warm and friendly while making the lesson easy to understand. I'm excited to work with you and your child soon!
