I am Festus Oyewole, a chemistry teacher and the founder of Healthy Africa Hub - A health awareness blog. I am a well-trained Chemist with both teaching and industry experience.

My lessons are designed to make chemistry clear, practical, and interesting for students at different levels. I hold an MSc in Applied Chemistry and have over 10 years of teaching experience, having taught chemistry both at the secondary school level and at the tertiary level. I have also taught A-level students, delivering courses such as Organic Chemistry and General Chemistry. These experiences have given me a broad understanding of how chemistry is taught and examined across different academic levels.
Over the years, I have successfully prepared many students for major external examinations including JAMB, WAEC, NECO, and GCE. Many of my students have achieved outstanding results. One notable example was an underage student I prepared who scored 90 in Chemistry in the UTME and passed the JAMB cut-off mark for underage candidates. She also went on to earn a distinction in WAEC Chemistry.
There is a popular saying that you cannot give what you do not have. The consistent success of my students comes from my deep understanding of chemistry and my familiarity with what examination bodies expect from students. From my very first interaction with a student, I carefully assess their level of understanding, identify their areas of weakness, and develop a strategy to help them improve.
Many students struggle in chemistry because they rely on memorization rather than true understanding. From the beginning, I discourage cramming and instead focus on helping students grasp the underlying concepts. I use clear explanations, illustrations, real-life examples, and guided practice to make difficult topics easier to understand. My goal is to help students build confidence and develop genuine interest in chemistry.
I also make use of modern digital teaching tools to enhance learning and ensure that my lessons are interactive, engaging, and effective. My aim is not only to help students pass their examinations but also to help them develop a strong foundation in chemistry that will support their future academic and career goals.
