About
Hi my name is Kennedi! I'm a college student studying kinesiology with a pre-med focus, and I have a strong background in elementary reading, language arts, and math. I graduated summa cum laude and in the top 5% of my high school class, and now I maintain a 3.8 GPA in college. I’m passionate about learning and want the best for my students. I love working with kids, and for me, teaching isn’t a chore—it’s something I really enjoy. My goal is to make learning fun and engaging, while also giving students the support they need to succeed. I’m here to guide your child, help them grow, and make sure they feel confident in what they’re learning. I’m excited to work with your child and help them reach their full potential!

My Teaching Approach: I focus on student-centered learning, where students provide input on what they like and do not like. I like giving them control over their learning. Spaced Repetition: I use this scientifically proven method to aid the learning process and long-term memory. I use the own method for my own studying in college and have kept a 3.8 GPA. Key Techniques: Spaced Repetition with real-world examples. I tailor to individual learning styles. Also, if the student's parents have any input on how they noticed their child learns best, I will honor that as long as it is helpful for the child. Lesson Plan: Quick review on old work and what we know about new work, new concept introduction and discussion, guided practice, independent practice, recap and what we can work on. What Sets Me Apart: I adapt to the student’s pace and preferences. I guide and support, rather than control the learning process. I want the student to feel comfortable and excited about tutoring rather than scared or dreadful. Target Audience: Students in kindergarten to 5th grade in English, language arts, creative writing, math
