Hello! I'm Wendy / Mrs. Combrink (Whichever you are comfortable with) a TEFL-certified native English speaker with a passion for helping others grow in confidence and fluency. I take pride in creating a calm, supportive learning environment where students feel encouraged to speak, make mistakes, and truly learn. With a background in creative writing, I bring a thoughtful, engaging style to my lessons. Whether you’re preparing for IELTS or Cambridge exams, improving your Business English, or working on pronunciation and everyday speaking, I’ll help you develop practical language skills through structured, interactive sessions. I’m patient, kind, and genuinely love teaching. I’m also a parent myself, and I work especially well with children and teens — always aiming to make lessons feel fun, safe, and productive. I also enjoy sewing and fishing in my spare time, and I believe bringing a bit of real life into lessons helps students connect and feel more relaxed. As a TEFL-certified native English speaker with a background in creative writing, I bring an engaging and thoughtful approach to English tutoring. My lessons focus on building clear, confident communication — whether you're preparing for IELTS or Cambridge exams, improving Business English, or refining your pronunciation and articulation.

I design each lesson around your unique goals and learning style. Expect interactive sessions filled with real conversation, tailored vocabulary, writing support, and meaningful feedback. With my creative writing experience, I help students express themselves more naturally — not just correctly — and bring personality into their spoken and written English.

I teach in English (native fluency) and can provide light support in Afrikaans if needed. Lessons are ideal for intermediate to advanced learners, as well as ambitious beginners who want to grow fast with the right guidance.
